Sue Eberhart and Ken Arni were winners in the 2011 Prime Hook Nature Photography contest. Sue received an Honorable Mention in Native Plants category and Ken placed 1st in Native Wildlife - Birds.
Robin Harrison achieved a Second Place Runner Up award in the 2011 Photographic Society of America Chapter's Showcase competition. Her image "Mesa Arch Sunrise" is posted in the October 2011 issue of PSA Journal magazine.

"Rainy Downtown in Lewes" by Fred Shiding
Two Coastal Camera Club members, Barbara Keate and Leslie Sinclair, have been working hard all semester on photography classes at Del Tech. On May 1st, from 3:30-5:30 PM, there will be an opening reception for an exhibit that will display the photographic works of a great bunch of students, including Barbara and Leslie.. You may not recognize Barbara as she is in disguise! The exhibit will hang in the science wing of the Jason Building at Del Tech’s Georgetown Campus.

Ken Arni's "Walking in Mom's Shadow" was chosen for Delaware Beach Life Magazines' cover. Ken states that he took this image a few years ago from his kayak at Little Island rookery.
Ken states the following Interesting information from the editor; Many folks send him images for the cover. They are usually cropped in Portrait format and aren't wide enough for the cover. The editor prefers a more square crop so they can move around to fit on the cover between all the necessary printing.

CCC Members won awards in the Milton Arts Guild "Members Only" photography contest. Keith Steck won a 3rd Place and Anne Rhoads won First Place.
Congratulations to CCC members Bobbie Ranney and Ken Arni who provided images for production of the Delaware Master Gardener's 2013 Calendar. Bobbie Ranney's image "Daises with Bee" was chosen for the Calendar cover.
The Master Gardeners are a group who enjoy gardening, have gardening experience, want to learn more about gardening, and have a desire to help others in their community. They have all completed an intensive training program and volunteered a minimum of 45 hours to earn their Master Gardener title. Check out their website and blog.

CCC members Peggy Douglas, Keith Steck and Ken Arni place in the Prime Hook National Wildlife Refuge’s Nature Photography Contest. The exhibition is in place until December 16.
Ray Bojarski recently completed the four Wednesday evening "Photography After Hours" workshop at Longwood Gardens. Participants had sections of the conservatory lit and available for exclusive access to the Gardens. Ray states that it was quite interesting taking very long exposures at small f-stops in some of the dimly lit areas of Longwood. A typical exposure was from a few seconds to maybe 20+ seconds to capture an f16 image. Longwood has invited each of the students to submit two of their favorite images from the workshop which Longwood will be printing the images and hanging them in the cafeteria.
Ellis Underkoffer recently completed Marc Clery's "Capturing the Light" workshop and will be displaying six of his photographs at the Capturing Light Photography Exhibit at the Nassau Valley Vineyards from Nov 2 to Nov 28.

Keith Steck is exhibiting in an art exhibit titled Closeups located at the new offices of Ocean Medical Imaging located 611 Federal Street, Suite 4, Milton, DE. All work is for sale with a percentage of funds benefiting Breast Cancer Awareness. The exhibit will be on display through December.
